I've heard of the deal itself. But not in this much detail. I went ahead and read up on it after watching this. This is one of the most fucking toxic things ever.  RE: The Trans-Pacific Partnership

Why would any country outside of the United States agree to this?
Attorneys for US corporations can sue for any lost profits that they believe result from a nation's regulation. It would be stupid for any other country do go along with this. It also sounds like a way to give corporations a lot of power. They can sue the government if they feel that environmental laws hurt their profits too
They agree to it because it will allow their economies to leech more off of our own.
