I'm really bad at detecting sarcasm in text. Some people will confirm that I need a sarcasm sign.

The Church of England seems to be a strange branch of Christianity that overall tends towards tolerant.

Intolerance in the USAs religion seems to me to be an excuse.

They will accuse their homophobia on the bible but I suspect if the bible had nothing to say on the matter they would still be homophic and blame it on something else.

I mean they blame anti Semitism on the bible and Jesus was supposed to be king of the jews.

It's frowned upon in our legal system to go out and kill someone. But the wish is there, especially when it comes to gays, as is proven by repeated and televised sermons. Also the wish to discriminate against everyone not agreeing with them.

Indeed. If they had their way, the world would be a much darker place.

Another forum I post at uses purple text to denote sarcasm. I detest the convention, as it drastically limits chain-yanking possibilities.

Fundy xtians also go rogue and kill abortion doctors. I'm sure plenty of those who don't are inwardly happy about it too.

It wasn't just you. I missed it too.

They were saying how America is a Christian nation and all that basic B.S. that they like to spout out. Here's the full article herehttp://news.yahoo.com/muslim-day-Oklahoma-capitol-hit-anti-islamic-protests-203731419.html

I think it's ludicrous that some Christians actually have this mindset!

I do know a few weeks ago I got into a debate with a Christian friend and he told me to keep my wimpy atheism to myself. But what's funny or ironic is that on a daily basis he's trying to get people to join his religion.

Did those Christians behead any Muslims, no, has ISIS that claims to be Muslim beheaded Christians, yes. Now! who is intolerant. Everyone in this country has a right to protest and as long as it's peaceful it's lawful. Muslim have been killing fellow Americans, an atheist in the U.S. killed Muslims, tell me who's intolerant. I think it's prudent that you understand what tolerant and the right to express one's beliefs are.

Your friend dealt with you and then moved on to witness to others, what possible reason would you have to be upset, he/she is doing what they believe in, don't you do the same.

Welcome to the forum.

And how many Christians kill fellow Christians and others in America every year? Oh, wait, that's hardly ever mentioned, is it. But an atheist murders some Muslim students over a dispute about a car park and the media, and religious groups, just can't help mentioning he was an atheist.

If they mentioned the religion of the Christians every time they killed there would be an uproar from the Christians.

ISIS have killed Muslims as well as Christians, or are you conveniently forgetting that little fact?

It's also interesting, don't you think, that the hypocrisy of some Christians knows no bounds, "I don't want to hear about your atheism. Keep it to yourself. But let me talk to you about Jebus. You don't want to hear? How dare you! What about my freedom of religion?"

Not "as well". They mainly kill muslims not agreeing with them, but that doesn't make for spicy headlines.

I think you might be a bit confused about the definition of the word secular, love.

Not at all, secular- not sacred or ecclesiastical, indifference to or exclusion of religion, to transfer from ecclesiastical to civil use, possession, or control. No room for religions in a secular society, dear.

Seems you are the one who needs to read the Constitution of the United States of America and not your version of it. Many good men and women have died in defense of it, you should learn to have respect for it.

I served in defense of it, you fuckstain, so don't lecture me about that. You obviously need to read the fucking dictionary.

Seems to me you haven't the respect it affords to all peoples, I wasn't lecturing you, I just stated what the Constitution does for all, idiot.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
