Boko Haram has pledged allegiance to IS. This is giving me chills. Can anyone set my mind at ease on this one?

Look at the bare numbers. ISIS has 30.000 active followers. And that's taking the most generous estimate from serious sources. I don't know about Boko Haram's numbers, but things like that don't give me the chills. They're despicable on their own, they will be despicable united. But they're not coming to knock on our doors anytime soon.

Not ours, maybe, but Boko Haram is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people.

And so is ISIS. Mostly muslims. It's one of the things that angers me most about the reporting on these organisations. The thousands of people being killed by these lunatics don't make for juicy headlines, since they are only muslims. But once a single Westerner is killed it's spread all over the frontpages.

That's part of why I have chills. They're just killing off their own people!
I just read a comment on one of the articles saying that IS probably won't take Boko Haram because they're black. Does anyone know if this is possible? As abhorrent as IS is, I didn't figure them as racist, as long as people are of the same mind as they are.

Islam usually isn't racist in our sense of the word, since they expanded very early into central Africa and into the Mongolian empire. But you never know with these lunatics. On the other hand, there's a lot of half baked sensationalist reporting going on - without any real knowledge.

They give people a chance to join them, but for shites its kill on the spot.
and isis has many black somalians in the group. ISIS
I study intelligence and work for the american intelligence on terrorism.
what makes isis do what they do.
ibn taymiya who is like there king was placed in jail by all secs at the time of islam .. and his books were destroyed from that time until after they wer found with the ottaman empire.. ottoman empire hid these books ... then the british got them ... they used them and trained a spy priest to go and bring ibn taymiyas ideology back...mohamad ibn abdul wahab a finder of wahabism.
ibn taymiya ideology must be taken out
when they burnt the pilot ibn taymiya was the recitation used at thw end of the video.
if anyone tells u they like ibn taymiya there mind controled and have been fully highjacked
. if they tell u they don't then they may have lost relatives and have relatives destroying isis every day and as we speak.

It will change nothing. They are both being as nasty as they can be already.

Whether we can set your mind at ease or not depends on exactly what aspect of it that is giving you chills. We are talking about two very nasty groups who do very nasty things, and if that is what is giving you chills, then no, no one is going to set your mind at ease. There are very nasty people in the world who do very nasty things.
Now, if you are worried that either or both is going to take over the world, I think your mind can be reasonably set at ease, as they are small groups and pretty much everyone else is against them. Even people who normally hate each other are against them (e.g., the U.S. & Iran, etc.), so you can be pretty sure that they are going to lose in the end.
Of course, they will torture and kill people while they last.
So, does that set your mind at ease or not?

So is Bush 43. In fact, compared to him, ISIS are amateurs.
