What the hell is it with all these idiots in the West trying to take us several steps backwards in our evolution as a society.
What next? Drowning cats because they're the familiars of "witches"?

Seriously? You didn't make the distinction clear. If that is tedious to you, imagine how tedious it might be to log into a forum where folks throw out the opinion du jour hoping for their kudos to roll in and then get butthurt when you point out that their generalization is, in fact, a generalization.
Here's what you said:
Quote:Hunting is stupid and cruel , and in this age, totally unnecessary !
For all your complaining about "tiny digs", you don't seem to mind the big broad brush.
Friend to friend: a little nuance goes a long ways. Give it a try.

I'm watching the big debate now on ITV. I thought I'd bring this topic back to remind people of what a shit Cameron is, and that he thinks people "need" the right to torture foxes to the point of exhaustion.
Please vote for anyone else, preferably not UKIP because they also support this. For those interested in animal rights, labour and green seem by far the best choices. Labor has a surprising number of great plans for banning cruel practices.
Thanks for listening.

I am not against all hunting. But this yea, it is scaring the shit out of he animal for sport. And even when you merely hide and wait, and kill them quickly, it is still not a sport, it is still a trap. A sport is when both sides are on the field equally with the same equipment and rules and know what they are getting into.
If you hunt to save money on food and kill it quickly, fine. Anything else is torture.

Lewis Black sums up my view of hunters....
Of course....I do have to dispute Lewis' last point in the video as I think he gives hunters waaayyy too much credit, as can be seen here.

RAGLAND – A former St. Clair County Commissioner accidently shot his son when the two men were hunting Wednesday morning.
Authorities said James Etheridge mistook his son for turkey and accidently shot him on hunting club property near Borders Lake Road in Ragland.
So when it comes to assholes and guns, never say never, Lewis.

It shouldn't at all be called fox hunting. It should be called what it is, fox torture.
Anyone else watch the big debate? I found it interesting, although the slippery side stepping of questions all the time pisses me off. And the constant interruptions of each other like bickering children.

Also in connection with recent outrage with a dentist Walter J Palmer and similar people that kill endangered animals - here's a suggestion: turn to photography instead. You're going to look much cooler then like a redneck with a gun:
And also talking about future presidents and voting - DONALD TRUMP'S sons also like to kill exotic and endangered animals:
So every time you use his hotel or buy some of his products you pay for some of those bullets that will blow some gorilla's brain.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

My step dad was raised in Wyoming, brought up hunting deer and elk for the family table.
At 19 his lottery number came up and he joined the Marines, and headed off to Vietnam as a radioman doing LRRPs, where he saw plenty of firefights and killed three humans that he knows of. He came back with PTSD something fierce -- still waking up yelling "incoming!" 20 years later -- and after he went into therapy in 1976, one of his decisions made for his own peace of mind was that he wasn't going to kill anything any more. He would go back annually to Wyoming to hunt with his buddies, but as he told me, "The only thing I shoot now is pictures, D."
He got some beautiful shots, we ate game that his buddies would share, and he slept better for it.

Sure, almost nobody talks about human killing like the "Kill anything that moves" policy in Vietnam where most soldiers treated Vietnamese people like lower beings that even general George Patton IV had a human Vietnamese skull that he carried with him as one of his favorite trophies. It was like one giant hunt on people and now with these wars almost nothing changed. Even Obama jokes around how he will send killer drones on guys that not even look at his daughters but his daughters look at those guys.
BTW Arnold Schwarzenegger posted this on Instagram
Some people will use any opportunity to show their pecks.
