Just woke up to read this on BBC news.
Sir Terry will be missed.
My favourite author, who once said of religion, "People keep claiming that I have found god. That's not true. I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and I know they exist!"
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:
"You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"

I'm sure Death said, "WELCOME, AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT STORIES ABOUT ME."
“Death isn't cruel—merely terribly, terribly good at his job.” Terry Pratchett

"There is a rumour going around that I have found God. I think this is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist." Terry Pratchett

Goodbye Sir Terry, you made it a bit easier to understand the world.
Ps I meet him at a book signing in 2004 at garden city shopping centre in Perth.

I am new to the forum and looking for a list of movies of child actors which were big box office hits. My nephew asked me this and I couldn’t recollect any name, so thought to search online. Thanks in advance for your help.

What? We're not google, go search for yourself.

Lol. I think you're lost.

Creepy spambot is creepy.
May as well add to this thread, that I had not until Sir Terry died even touched his work, much to my shame. I recently read The Colour of Magic to start myself off, and absolutely fell in love. He was a wonderfully talented, hilarious, mischeviously-minded man.

I wonder what it is for. The website that is so suspiciously linked in the text?

I've only ever read one of his books (Pyramids) myself but I have friends who are fanatical Pratchett fans and sometimes I get the feeling that I know so many of his ideas and characters from their telling me all about it. I intend to read some more when I feel like some nonfic reading. He was such a cool man.
