Hello from Germany
Hello
I am Bernd, 26 years old and from Germany. I never used English after school so that it is quite rusty and I apologize for language mistakes in advance. I hope it is ok to write here when I didn't master the Englisch language, yet.

I grew up in a small village and during my childhood I believed in god because almost everyone else believed in it and I had to go to church. With 14 years I started to think about the sense of life and my result is that all these tales about god are illogical and it doesn't give me a real sense. There isn't any sense of life. Since I negate the existence of a sense of life I don't ask the question of the sense of life anymore. Life is senseless that's my opinion.

Instead of the fairy tales about god I am really interested in Physics. I think physics is the only serious attemption to grasp the essence of nature.
I am very well educated in Quantum Mechanics but I only do Quantum Mechanic calculations as a hobby. At the moment I am interested in Non-Equilibrium-Quantum systems. Unfortunately most literature is in Englisch and I am not very gifted in learning a language but I am trying to improve it now.

I work as an retailer in Saturn and I like computer games.

Hello Bernd! Welcome You and Alex will have to have a smarty pants german off...sounds like a German porn now that I've written it out.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Heya Bernd, welcome!

Don't worry about your English, you're doing just fine.

Indeed, religious stories are a load of bullshit. Whether or not there is "something out there", these fairy tales are clearly fantasy and shouldn't be taken seriously by anyone.

Physics is where it's at, quantum mechanics is fascinating. I've only just started learning a little bit about it, and already it's boggling my brain! I love computer games too!

Welcome aboard, hope you have fun here Smile

Bah- physics is reductionism taken to incomprehensible absurdity.
I prefer wet chemistry----us.

Welcome Bernd. Grab your preferred beverage and settle in. The pool is around back.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Bah, wet chemistry is reductionism taken to incomprehensible absurdity.
I prefer biology.

No I don't, I'm lying!!!
I like big bang and I can not lie. Give me a quantum! Give me a field! Give my some theory! Q-F-T! Q-F-T!

I think Quantum Mechanics is easier than its reputation.
You only have to negotiate the mathematical stuff.

Some day I will start with Quantum Field Theories.

Science is for losers obsessed with reality. I prefer maths. You can do stuff that has absolutely no bearing on anything except within itself. Awesome! And maybe someday someone will find a use for it.

Hey Alex you know that "I want sex" cartoon was too trivial an integral, I've got one that is a little different, but a lot harder!

I want sex2 Big Grin

Fields are imaginary constructs that let you conform your experience to observation.
Not-really-there! Not-really-there!

I'd call y'all reality biased (math snobs), except that I can't do the math.
