Quote:Poll: Americans Starting to Worry About Climate Change Now That It Affects Their Lawns

Quote:According to the poll, conducted by the University of Minnesota’s Opinion Research Institute, rising sea levels, the destruction of habitats, and catastrophic weather conditions, such as hurricanes and tsunamis, have not served as the wake-up call to Americans that their lawns’ unsightly barrenness has.

In interviews across the state of California, residents expressed anger and outrage that climate change had been allowed to worsen to the point that it has now severely limited their choice of ground cover, shrubs, and other decorative plantings.

Maybe they will tell republicunt shitheads like Imhofe?

Yes, every time I read him, he is very close to the truth.  Very much like Dr. Strangelove was very close to the truth.

For those who need it:

People think of it as a comedy, but it is almost a documentary.  Of course, people should have realized it was close to the truth, given the government warning at the beginning that was forced onto it, that says that it could never happen.  The government never requires such a message on films that tell a story that cannot happen.

But back to the Borowitz article, yes, many Americans only care about things if they are personally affected, and do not care at all about anyone else.

"A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence."

I like how Californians are now being labeled as Americans as a whole. Huffington Post had an article stating that despite how cold the winter was to most Americans, the temperatures were warmer than the record.....later on, they let the truth out that California was the state where they were seeing that warmer weather.

It's dishonesty like that harms the Global Warming community. I live in California; I am not going to assume that my weather is like the weather in the other states because it often is not. For California, they should have built the desalination plants decades ago....I assume someone paid off the right people to shut down any legitimate proposals.

It's not about climate change, but about trying to live in a desert-like environment as if it was always a lush oasis....Southern California cities look lush because of all the water they import....go to any city in the region and chances are, most of the plants and trees are not even close to the native vegetation.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

It was warmer than normal here in AZ, too.  And Nevada.  Weather conditions do not observe state political boundaries.

I was a very mild winter here in Central Texas.

And global warming is about more than one season of readings, as anyone with a little knowledge of the matter would know.

Are people confusing weather with climate again?

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
