What is with our male species making everything out to be testosterone?
It is easy to judge people who are weaker than you literally and physically. Some people do not have the luxury of physical size, community support, national support. The only place some people have is a computer. You devalue humanity and free speech in general by making everything about a dare into a fight.
No, I would not say lots of things to people's faces, and I think lots of people lie to themselves while blaspheming others on line(again, not any person here, but throughout my life I see this) would say the same things they do here to someone's face in person. Why, because we don't always have the benefit of community support offline. Not everyone has the luxury of being open outside their house. This dare, is uniquely western and we take it for granted that we have some sanctuary and would otherwise be completely cut off from the world in a literal prison.
This meme does a disservice to the bullied worldwide on top of being sexist as if " real men" are a cookie cutter script and also as if women don't do the same. Keep in mind two secular atheists were murdered, not for even cussing not even saying anything in public, but merely online. If they can be murdered in those states not even being in public doing it because people find out, what kind of public do they live in if they did say it to their face?
No, I am tired of men in my species. Bravery is not intellectual for the most part, it is merely an excuse for men to get violent because someone else offended them. Violence takes no fucking brains at all. Intellect and reason and responding civilly even in the face of being offended is much harder.
If we want a more peaceful world, it cannot be had through daring others into fights because someone cussed us out or called us names.
FYI that dork was me when I was a kid(not me literally), minus the computer and I didn't have my first real friend until high school. I really hate this meme because back then, when we didn't have computers, I literally lived in a prison because I had nothing but bullies on my block. My "socializing" was being picked on and getting beat up.
Now if you want to attack religious nuts that is one thing. If you advocate for stopping online bullying for teens and young kids on line, that is another. But when you are an adult and can control your own settings on social media or control your own website, and are not forced to interact with someone, then no, all you are doing is trying to silence someone because they offended you.
