- Please give two examples of how you would help accomplish the mission of Adventist Medical Center.*
I'd stand there and patiently watch your patients die for lack of adequate treatment.
I'd tell your lawyers to plead mental aberration when you get your asses sued off.
- Some of our employees choose to have prayer with patients or other employees. This practice is supported by Adventist Medical Center. What are your thoughts about employees having prayer with patients and fellow employees?*
They are fucking idiots.

From Wikipedia, regarding Title VII:
"There are partial and whole exceptions to Title VII for four types of employers: Federal government; (Comment: The proscriptions against employment discrimination under Title VII are now applicable to certain federal government offices under 42 U.S.C. Section 2000e-16) Federally recognized Native American tribes Religious groups performing work connected to the group's activities, including associated education institutions; Bona fide nonprofit private membership organizations." This group, which I believe is non-profit, almost certainly fits into that third exception. Since they have "Adventist" in their name, and seem to be doing their own charity work affiliated with that church, they probably could literally type "Atheists Need Not Apply" on their application, and it would be legal, at least under federal law. Now, if they tried to get the state to fund them and such (cough creationist theme park cough), they'd have a problem. But, starting with the principle that "you can't make a church hire an atheist, even for a non-religious position," the legislature's extended that exception to make sure other religious undertakings may refuse to hire people based on their religious beliefs as well. I don't really see anything wrong with this, though I could be convinced otherwise.

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.
What a bunch of morons.
I don't think any sort of medical staff, medical equipment, or any sort of treatment at all should be at christian hospitals, or any other hospital that believes in prayer and refuses to acknowledge science saves people's lives. Christian hospitals should only be a building, with beds, and people praying over the patient. I'm not sure how many de-conversions you'd see, but you'd see a lot of dead bodies.
Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' -Isaac Asimov-
