Hence why I'm skeptical of Zionism, an ideology that once sounded acceptable to me. The amount of victimization, excuses and blame thrown at Palestinians is irritant. It is no surprise that some Jews already identify as anti-Zionists.
There are many misconceptions people hold about the Israelo-Palestinian conflict that are empirically wrong - For example, there is no proof at all that Palestinians deliberately use citizens as shields for gunfire and bombings, but people think that's what they do; and there isn't any evidence that if the Palestinians laid down their weapons there would be immediate peace considering Israel's actions in the last decade (I think conquering a little more territory sounds appealing, after all Israel is basically the size of a county)
