G'day!

RE: G'day!
Hey! So nice of you guys to reply this fast. I certainly feel like home already.

Quote:I don't recall any other Finns here. I'll be interested in what you have to say about your country.

I like to talk about my country so you will have plenty of that, if you're interested. I'm also interested in atheism in the US, but I guess it won't be hard to find discussions about it here.

Quote:Depends on your definition of clean. What is your stance on sexual double entendre, sometimes single entendre?

Usually I have no problem that. By keeping the conversation "clean" I meant no ad hominens, trolling or other things like that. But I'm already quite sure that does not happen here often. After reading a bit some topics, it seems nice and "clean" for me.

That's about the only thing where we have a disagreement.

Welcome.

Herro!

Welcome to the forums. I'm always astonished at how awesomely international we are. Glad to have ya!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Quote:Politically I have always been kind of leftist liberal, meaning that I'm pro-welfare, pro-universal health care, pro-gay rights etc. I'm opposing some liberal ideas though, such as multiculturalism.
This is a massive contradiction. So you don't accept non-white Finns in Finland? Or what else do you mean by being against multiculturalism?

Welcome

There is difference between a multicultural and a multiracial society.
Personally, I am also only in favor of the latter, but not the former Big Grin

Yeah, I grew up in an environment where Italian food was considered exotic. Never seen an actual chinese or black man when I was a child.

RE: G'day!
Hello, Paron. Welcome
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue
