Honestly, I dream about watches. I collect them, so the time not spent reading, or browsing the internet, is spent researching watches. Odd as it may sound, it's what I end up dreaming about. I often wake up disappointed that I don't own the watch I had just dreamed about owning.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

I could never do that. If I didn't like how a dream turned out, I could back up to some point, and start again from there, trying to steer a bit. I would dream a dream over and over and over, trying for a satisfactory outcome.
But "able to control every aspect," I never had that kind of power.

You've never had that happen to you, even by chance?
To be honest, this happens to me very frequently... should I be worried?
I do prefer it when my dreams are totally spontaneous, they tend to be more... eccentric.

I remember one occasion when I was standing at the gates of a graveyard in the dead of night, the place wreathed in cloying shadow. I couldn't see it, but I knew there was an evil 'something' in there, beginning to rise and gather strength.
I clearly remember thinking, "O-kay... fuck that!" and was able to reboot the dream to something more pleasant.

I have enough to do without trying to run my dreams. I think it is just good theatre and like it better when I'm not doing a sock puppet show for myself.

I honestly hate dreaming. Sometimes it's great but I prefer the randomness of a dream. If I had a choice of just sleep with no dreams, i would be happy.

I've never tried to induce it. It happens only rarely for me. When it does, it's typically short-lived, and I only have partial control. Often times, I can only control it to a certain extent. Two examples:
1) A guy was chasing me with a gun in a dream. Part way through, I realized it was a dream and thought "I don't want him to have a gun; I want the gun!". The gun disappeared from his hand and a knife appeared in mine. I was a bit disappointed, but I rolled with it.
2) I had a falling dream that I realized was dream part way down*. Right before I hit the ground, I was able to redirect my momentum, but now I was flying parallel to the ground about three feet off of it at the same speed. I was able to steer left and right, but could not slow down. So, I was trying to avoid crashing into rocks with the same force as my earlier fall, which made it a kind of "out of the frying pan and into the fire" type situation.
* There was a period in my life where I had so many falling dreams that I learned to recognize them. I couldn't control them, but I at least lost all fear of them during this time. That stopped the one time I actually landed in the falling dream and convinced myself I'd really jumped for real! Complete with out-of-body vantage point, and everything! Asshole brain.

I used to have a recurring dream about an old house. It wasn't run down or spooky or anything, in fact it seemed to be well cared for; merely unoccupied. The funny thing is the location would change from one dream to the next - I would go from exploring the house one time, to various parts of the grounds in subsequent dreams. Or I might be in a different part of the village, but always with this house in there somewhere even if it wasn't used as a location. The level of consistency always struck me that it might be a real place, though I'm sure I've never been there if it is. Then I happened to tell someone about it and it appears to have killed it, as I don't think I ever dreamed it again.
I'd love to go lucid and try to resurrect it.
