The thing is 15 dollars today will not have the buying power that it will 5 years from now.  Nor will it impact business' bottom line as much 5 years from now because inflation will raise the profits for the companies.  So basically saying you are raising the minimum wage but waiting until 5 years to do it is just a bunch of political rhetoric.

We need to start at 15 dollars today and have it adjusted to the CPI (inflation) on an annual basis.  No business will go out of business.  In fact just the opposite is true.  If you take the supply side economic argument (as stupid as it is) the more money the poor get the more they have to spend, infusing the same companies with more capital.  The inverse of trickle down economics.

But faux news will NEVER report the benefits of a higher minimum wage.
