So have you told your de-conversion story here yet?  Or were you one of those whose parents (or earlier) did the heavy lifting?

I've lived in CA for 10 years.  I lived in Oakland--in Jack London--where the lofts are.  I come from a religious family; I am really the only one that started to see the glaring holes in the religious way of thinking.  I also tried talking to my pastor about things and he was less than helpful and actually got angry with me when I started questioning anything.  I knew I wasn't going to find answers that way, so I started looking for them on my own.  The more I learned, the less I believed.

Only 2 years? Wait until you are feeling at the bottom of the pit, in utter darkness and pain and you will seek god again [/devil's advocate].

That's the kind of turd you will find in our little pond. Be careful and Welcome

Welcome! Smile
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Well congratulations on the getaway.  We don't exactly live in a loft but we do live in an old warehouse.  Small one though, just 40 by 80 feet.  Fortunately there is a lot of open ground around it so that I can make a garden.

Thanks Smile Yeah, i can't cook for anything, but I am trying--so that's something lol.  I loved living in a loft and I think the old warehouses that were converted into living space are very cool.  Love the Berkeley Bowl, btw...

I have a massive peace of military hardware actually, with built in critical thinking. A sceptic tank.
