MARRIAGE EQUALITY NATIONWIDE
RE: MARRIAGE EQUALITY NATIONWIDE
I wonder, how does one go about being a Christian and ensure a healthy prostate?
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

If god didn't want men to have anal, why did he give us a prostrate that is sensitive enough to cause an orgasm, and then locate it just in front of the rectum?

I really don't know what you mean unless you are talking about the fact that you can't make babies from anal.

Although there is a fun counterpoint to be made here. . .Anal actually might help women get pregnant(not incrediby likely, but the jury is still out). Women who engage in anal play have more orgasms during sex. The contraction of the uterine wall from orgasm is suspected to assist the sperms journey.

Well why should Christians dictate what's moral? Since the US is a country with millions of inhabitants with diverse religious beliefs, isn't it better to simply promote the separation of church and state? No one is dictating you must personally approve gay marriage - You can continue to promote traditional marriage/family as much as you want, and people who support you have the right to listen to you and applaud - People who disagree have the right to tell you you're wrong and explain why. That's how it works considering we can't all have the same ideas. I support the right of gays to get married, but I wouldn't oppose a Christian refusing to bake a cake for a gay ceremony as well, provided there was someone else to bake the cake - I also abhor the idea of forcing churches to accommodate gay marriage both for the well being of gays and because churches can have their own rules as they're independent institutions.

Precisely this.

I'll say it again, I don't need the "Christian marriage" icing on the cake as I'm not Christian. I just want the marriage contract in front of a judge and for it to be legally recognised as equal to a straight marriage. Christians can keep their "Christian marriage". If and when I get hitched, my marriage will be anything but Christian and I like that just the way it is. I think any gay person who lacks such respect for themself that they want Christianty to validate their marriage is a fool.

The problem is that marriage is not a Christian invention, it is a pre-historic practice that was observed in almost every culture in a wide variety of diverse ways. For me, gay marriage isn't about making Christians accept it. It's about reclaiming a practice they have appropriated for themselves and developed an exclusive monopoly on dictacting the rules.

I'd have to agree with both of you 100%. Just as Christianity does not get to appropriate the entire concept of marriage, the homosexual community doesn't get to force its concept of marriage on Christianity. I'd like to see Christianity embrace marriage of all stripes, but not by way of court order.

Of course we are a secular nation and you should keep your faith to yourself.

Because from what I recall in most of Europe marriage was always legalised first and adoption was usually some years later because both are separate issues and legally you can allow people to marry and still deny them the right to adopt

Adoption and marriage are separate issues.  Many states have allowed adoption of children by gay couple without a civil partnership let alone marriage. So I guess in the U.S. we've done it backwards.

Bigotry is being rolled back.  Like any war, it's very unusual for one battle to win it all.

Would that be the morality that causes Christians here to defend slavery and rape?

Thanks, I think the world has had its fill of that morality.

Same morality that Islam uses to defend child marriage and death for apostasy. These two religions are dysfunctional siblings, so alike yet they hate eachother.
