I got no problem. But I'm no such discriminatory asshole like whoever you pretend to call and I will continue to give gays cakes except for wedding cakes. And you can't bitch about it neither as you are doing the fcking same thing.

It depends on which state you live in, as they all have different laws about what constitutes discrimination, but chances are denying to make a wedding cake because it would be used in a gay wedding is discriminatory because you're denying service based on their sexual orientation.

And no one is saying you can't believe what you believe or practice your faith. It's just that your faith doesn't trump other people's rights. As other people have said, this country has a rather sad and obvious history when it comes to choosing who can sit at the counter, and sexual orientation is just as intrinsic in a person as their race or disability. You may disagree, but that's how the majority of our society and laws view it. Moreover, as a purported business owner, you're obligated to follow the law. If you don't like those laws, vote for state legislators who will change them (assuming you're a citizen).

Thank you. But you do understand that this has nothing to do with homophobia right?

It doesn't matter. Discrimination can occur without conscious motivation.

What the fuck is a "bystanding BUDDHIST"? Wouldn't a "bystanding live and let live BUDDHIST" be exactly the sort of person to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple? You can't even figure out your own religion; no wonder such a simple issue has you up all night.

So they can ask for a birthday cake and use it at their gay wedding. Just tell them that and you're in the clear. See? Problem solved. All of the other "bystanding live and let live BUDDHISTs" would, by definition, not make any effort to stop you.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

You know what I'll say? I'll tell you:

"Look buddy, I don't care who you are, what race you are, or what your sexual orientation is. All I need to know is if that wedding type is a monogamic wedding between two opposite sexes. My conscience and next birth is at stake, so just fucking tell me, or leave."

Cool. I'm a woman about to marry a man, but if you asked me that, I'd turn around and leave. Screw that noise. I wouldn't give you a cent of my money.

Well yeah, they can deceive me and happily get the wedding cake if that's what you were saying! As long as I ignorantly do give them the cake then its fine with my conscience and morals cause I didn't give the cake to them on purpose.

And about your conjecture on Buddhists: NO, just because we're "live and let live" dudes doesn't mean we slave after everyone else's beliefs. We have our own conscience and we will defend it. Its our Mahadharma.

I wouldn't bake a gay a wedding cake for the same reason you and I wouldn't bake a swastika cake for a nazi parade.

Now don't over sensitively cry: "How dare you compare us gays with Nazis you Theist asshole!!??!"

It's just a fucking (rather exaggerated) example.

And if you let one person do it, you're letting everyone.

That's the problem. I'm all for people who serve the public not being allowed to discriminate, whatever they do. I hope it remains to be the law. If you're too much of a cock to be able to deal with that, don't open a business to the public. This is my opinion on things.

If there is a genuine reason not to serve the customer, that is different.
My conscience is a genuine reason. thank you for belittling the importance of my morality and faith.

I don't care. I just want my equal rights. Karma will take care of my business.
