Christians who get excited over the end of the world and the destruction of mankind should be called out on it. If any other group said that they were happy that the probably billions of people would die, we would think that they were sick.

The only thing worrying me about it is that one of them might manage to park their ass in the White House at some point.

Come now!  You are not going to live forever regardless, so why worry about it?  Besides, if we don't use our nuclear weapons, it will be the biggest waste of money in the history of the world, and with budgets the way they are these days, you wouldn't want us to be wasteful, would you?
