Also,i was like this when i was younger.

Thank you, but I am not young.

I am of roughly middle age, but with an old man's "I don't give a fuck" mentality.

Is there such a thing as a dishonest soul mate? (I think that's a contradiction in terms) hehe

RE: My negativity
Okay,i know all this shenanigans is because of Kitan's comment in that suicide thread. So,i'm going to say something about it:

When people make suicide threats on the internet it's almost always for attention. They experience a lack of attention in the real world(or have some sort of lack of attention) so go on the internet and make suicide threats to get some attention.I'm not saying that seeking for attention is a bad thing,we all do it,sometimes in various degrees and with various people for various reasons. No matter how much the OP convinces himself/herself or the others it is always about seeking attention.Always.

When people get the slightest hint that suicide might end their problems in the real world they go on the internet and tell others that they are seriously considering suicide. Most of the time they don't really consider committing suicide,it's just something that crossed their mind.
What we have to understand is that when people give threats like these they are hoping for others to be compassionate and try to relate with them. They don't want others to challenge their intentions for suicide.I'll tell you why, when people come to online forums and give suicide threats they have never convinced themselves to actually do it irl.
But of course they put up the act that they have convinced themselves. When other people challenge their intentions they feel a need to prove that their intentions for suicide are very seriously real(and make others that challenged their intentions feel extremely guilty). This forces a person not actually considering committing suicide into actually committing suicide just to prove it to others.
Remember, this is a person with whom if we were compassionate and understanding with would have eventually given up the idea of committing suicide and just go on about their day.
I'm not saying that anybody should feel obliged to care for them.Of course you can ignore them it that is what is suitable for you.But when someone take time off their day to challenge their intentions they are ultimately doing more bad than good for the OP.
Let's all be understanding humans. Smile
Don't feel obliged to give a fuck about anyone, just ignore them if you know your input will do them more harm than good.
Of course then their are people like me that might consider committing suicide for fun.

Well, I for one know Kit on this forum, it is how he is.

About suicide, it is something that people fret about. The thought has crossed my mind, but I at the time wasnt even considering telling anyone. Meh, I grown over it.

Some of us do empathize with such thoughts, such is the mental distress when one is considering such an action. I bet the staff got a dozen reports about that post.

IMO, this forum is not a venue to resolve these deep issues, as there are trained professionals to deal and Kit hasnt break any rules as being an asshole is not against them. I prefer to approach such threads with tact or not post at all.

It's important to remember that of out of all the places on the internet, we are already pretty damn supportive of people who come here with suicidal bullcrap posts. Last I checked posting about suicide certainly wasn't encouraged by the staff in the first place. If one person says something a little dickish, out of everyone else who's being a do-gooder, it's a little bit of a stretch to try and make out like it's going to do 'real harm' to someone. Like, what is this? The suicidal person's first day on the internet? Fuck my life, they'd be dead in less that 5 minutes if they ever went on 4chan.
