Beccs-

Where, precisely, did Jesus teach that you cannot be a Christian if you do not give all your money to the poor?

Matthew 19:24New International Version (NIV) Wrote:24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
Seems to be implying it very strongly.

Fail.

Being "rich" is one thing. Giving ALL your money to the poor thereby becoming poor yourself is another.

Finally...something we can agree on.

What finally turned you off, Min? Was it the change from Latin to English? Humanae Vitae? The "folk masses" in the 70's?

Don't get your hopes up, fuckface.  He's just a little smarter than you...which is admittedly a low bar to get over.

Remember what the Ten Commandments state:  Exodus 34: 20 = Bring an offering every time you come to worship.

Of course where I live you can't drive half a mile without seeing a church, so switching churches just means going to the one further down the street. I would just tell these people I don't want them to become too rich to get into heaven. I don't know where the tipping point is, but you have to be careful about being too well off.

Most likely his exceedingly low tolerance for bullshit, if I had to guess.

1. Are you privy to how much money "he" donates to charity each year? The watch may represent a mere fraction of his total net worth.

Privy? No, because it's irrelevant.  What he was wearing was completely superfluous, regardless of his net worth, which shouldn't be much for somebody in his position.  This caused him immediately to be a hypocrite.

Also irrelevant.  I refuse to get into a dick size contest with him or you on the subject.

A man bitching to me about my contribution to the poor, shouldn't have one of these on his wrist:
