Even today, I have seen well intended believers and atheists say horrific events should not be politicized.
Just like gun deaths, it is an excuse to kick the can down the road.
If humans hide behind pain, it is a temporary fix, it does not get to the root cause. Our species pretends that it is better to ignore cancer, than to face the diagnosis of the doctor.

I'd have no problem with the evening news programs starting every night with their network logos superimposed over footage of bodies falling out of the towers.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Even in personal deaths, our species good intent of empathy, goes too far when the event is big and or chronic.

The debates that come out of massive tragedies shouldn't be treated like an evil. Usually they're the only good thing to actually come from such events.

The hypocritical Jews of today, hide behind race and nationalism, the very same excuse Germans used to excuse their slaughter.. The very excuse Muslims use to justify 9/11.

Boarders, nationality nor religion make our species immune to pain, nor does it prevent us from violence to others. Only reason and diplomacy can reduce conflict.
