So my Spectacle Island evil lair (in progress) was attacked by ghouls while I was out. Fast traveled in, only to be swarmed by some ghouls I've never encountered before, didn't catch the name, was too busy being ripped to shreds. Fail.

The irradiated bastards burned 14 windmills. Looks like this location needs some muscle.

The bitch is when the legendary Deathclaw waits to mutate until you have him at like 10% health. That fucker in the Witch Museum was a sunufabitch. I think I OD'ed on Jet and Bufftats between missile strikes on him.

That legendary mutation is definitely a pain the ass, but the loot is definitely worth it. I'm do like the fact that more legendary creatures appear the higher the difficulty setting.

I died sooooooooooo many times on her.  Like 5 or 10, maybe.  Finally, I figured it out-- run completely around the outside of the castle, take one missile shot, eat acid, fully heal while running to another entrace, take one missile shot (using VATS!), eat acid, etc.

I think I was only about level 12 or something, and it was wayyyyyy too hard at that level.  Which is awesome.  I really don't like how the Fallout games scale to your level, so you're always fighting mobs your level.  I prefer games where each area has its level, and only major game events (say another nuclear attack in this case) reset the areas and give fresh, harder levels.
