Anonymity

Question
Anonymity
Do you enjoy your internet anonymity? I do.

Funnily enough it's not really to hide anything, I'll tell anyone my views and I'm up front about my atheism. I just enjoy being anonymous. I don't know why.

That's why I'll probably never share a picture of my face or my distinct tattoos. At least not outside of PM's.  Big Grin

RE: Anonymity
Well, you're not that anonymous in any case. Websites these days, especially the social media or google or any other search machines are giant marketing profile generators. I tend to steer clear from social media, since I'm not that interested in imaginary friends and what they had for lunch. But I do use google quite a lot and they most certainly have a marketing profile on me.

Some times yes, some times no.

I've posted enough shit here that if someone really wanted to they could find/find out me/

RE: Anonymity
Nah.

I have given up any illusion of anonymity in a trade for convenience.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

RE: Anonymity
Semi-anonymity really. If you wanted to know who I am, I'm sure you could find out, as I don't really take the time to cover my tracks. It's refreshing mostly in that I get to decide about people's ideas personality before having any idea what they look like or how well they dress or any other irrelevancies. And I think I get to be judged in much the same way.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
