Lately, this commercial (in the Hide tag) has been playing a lot. At first, whenever I saw it, I just felt kind of disgusted by the stench of bullshit, but then I started thinking. The people behind this product are probably not Christians at all. They are Capitalists doing what Capitalists do best: taking advantage for the sake of monetary gain. Specifically, they are cashing in on the superstitious delusions of a large group of people. It’s Brilliant!
The gullibility of Christians is simply begging to be conned into spending money on bullshit and I can’t help feeling like it would be a blast to exploit them that way. I just need some good product ideas.
Hmm. What about selling prayers? Atheist Forums could go into business selling the power of prayer to those in need of god’s intervention (under an alias, obviously). If they can sell those stupid crosses, we could certainly sell prayers, right? And there would actually be prayers. Everyone that joins purchases prayers for some need they have and also becomes part of the ‘prayer circle’ for the needs of others… all of which are posted to the website so they know what to pray about… and for our amusement. We could make boatloads!
Heheh! Any other ideas?
