Is Lying Ever Justifiable?

RE: Is Lying Ever Justifiable?
It sure as hell is. I'd even go a step further in saying that lying is justified in situations NOT related to preventing harm or hurting feelings.
I feel justified in lying just to get someone the hell out of my face. I'll say "Done."...because it'll get done. When have I ever not gotten it done? Tell me. Never, that's when.
Quit harassing me.

I find this sort of lying is necessary in when dealing with supervisors. Mothers, as well.

I won't tell if you won't tell.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

White lies are a racist relic from a bygone era.

All lying for a good cause shall be referred to as "shady lies".

I'm not sure I'm on board with that one BQ. Got a hypothetical?

Ok say you/loved one is dying. You can't afford the surgery/treatment. Bank robber just so happens to scurry up to your door, "hey hide me, and half this million dollars is yours." Now all u have to do when the cop is doing a door to door is lie. Just make sure you have the money in hand then either let him walk or sing like a blue bird.

That's such an interesting yes or no question!
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I don't even consider lying to be morally wrong. Many times when a person lies, the reason they're lying is wrong. Or the thing they're trying to do/get away with is wrong. Lying in itself is not wrong.

Lying, like everything else, is fine as long as you follow the true golden rule. Don't be a dick.

I prefer if it benefits you, and doesn't harm anyone else.
