During a lecture in Uppsala Lars Vilks who drew a cartoon depicting Mohammad as a dog, was attacked by a pack of feral fundamentalists, one of whom managed to headbutt the man and break his glasses.

I always tend to see the positive in such things: It actually shows people how dangerous religion is to our society (to free speech in this case). I think it would be great to have more people ridiculing religion by blasphemy (As for example the "Draw Muhammad"-campaign on youtube). It is important that we understand religion as the threat it actually is and do not accept "religious feelings" as something worthy.

Just to add something to the story. This wasn't down to his drawing Muhammad as a dog (that was in 2007), but in the lecture he showed a clip from a film that shows Muhammad entering a gay bar.
