I never entirely understood why drones are such a bad thing.
I mean, bombing in general isn't a good thing and I'd like to avoid it if we can, but let's be realistic: the US military is going to bomb people. Period. That being the case, why are drones worse than manned flights to drop bombs? Or are they worse?

I guess it just makes people even more detached from the bloodshed. Shooting and bombing from a distance de-empathizes people enough, robots is the next step I guess. Soon no one will feel anything while the world burns.

Do you think that the commanding officer actually feels attached to the people he's ordering to be bombed? Chances are, that CO has never met those people before and never will.
