AF members are logical to the core
Some might think they'd be humorless bores
But a limerick challenge
They brilliantly manage
I confess that I'm begging for more!

I wish that I could do a limerick properly
But instead I do them really sloppily
I can't do the rhythm
And the words: I don't know what to do with 'em
Anyone for a game of Monopoly?

The only thing that I can do is rhyme
But man, I could not write like this all the fucking time
That would be totally crazy
And my mind would be hazy
To do it every post would feel almost like a crime

Drfuzzy continues to Kudos my limericks
Even when my cray-cray rhythms have no gimmicks
It's utterly ridiculous
And totally dick-fuck-lee-us
I can't believe she likes them and I would totally flirt with her if only for minutes

Evie's a lovely young lad
Thoughtful, bright - a new Galahad
Prolific posting ally,
He'll give new things a try!
His limericks are fun 'cause they're bad!

If only Drfuzzy could teach poor Evie
How to write limericks so well that they come easy
Instead of him filling this thread on these forums
With his rhymes so full of such rhythmic problems
Not to mention when you read them they make you feel quite queasy.

Ack - boy, you win, I'm all limerick-ed out yet again. I tried a response - - but I fail before I begin.
There are general rules for limericks, but people break 'em all the time. Two lines of 8 syllables, two of 5 or 6, then one line of 8. Give or take a few either way. You've got the rhyme pattern down.
Rocket and Crossless are much better than I am, mine don't work so well either.
Just look up a few online, and there are some great rhyming dictionary sites, you know, like
http://www.rhymezone.com/.
But hey, I like your rhymes. We're just having some fun here.

I struggle counting syllables that's the problem. But I'll try.

Evie tried to improve his Rhythm
All while listening to King Crimson
It wasn't as bad
And tried so he had
But still he relied on being winsome

Do you know any music? They're kind of waltzes . . .
1 1-2-3 1-2-3 1
1 1-2-3 1-2-3 1
1 1-2-3 1
1 1-2-3 1
1 1-2-3 1-2-3 1
I do like some strawberry pie
With whipped cream I happily sigh
But too much of that
I tend to get fat
It's NOT FAIR and might make me cry!
