*Necromancy...GO!*

Anybody made any gains or hit any recent PRs? I pulled 320lb/145kg on the trap bar deadlift today at 180lbs bodyweight. I speculate that I can probably manage 340 if I'm fresh. Before the 320 attempt, I pulled 300 for three reps and was fairly exhausted.

I've been out of school for the last 2 weeks, so my free gym is 45 mins away...

I did do 300 ass-to-calf air squats in 45 mins yesterday, which is a PB as far as squats per minute. I have the jello legs to prove it.

I can barely pedal my trike around the plant...

Baby giraffe-style walking. I've been there. Impressive though! I guarantee I couldn't do that many, nor do I ever have any intention of ever attempting it. I hate that burning sensation of doing a ton of push-ups, air squats, etc.

I have a few personal records
I can do 51 proper press ups in a row. Not just bouncing up and down.
And I used to go on the cross trainer at 90rpm which is fairly high speed for 1 hour but these days I just go on it for 30mins I think my longest time was 1 hour 20 minutes

I weigh around 190 pounds the last time I weighted myself and I'm 6 ft

I don't tend to lift as heavy as I can because I've always admired atthletic physique over power lifting physique. I don't think I could get a power lifting type body anyway. Plus when I use weights that are very heavy it just tends to increase the chance of joint pain or injury, whereas using a slightly less heavier weight more times tends to result it muscle pain which I like the feeling of because it means that muscles growing.

I like the balance ball thing and the plyro boxes or whatever they're called, they're basically just soft boxes you jump high to get on top of. This is just because I've been told that athletes tend to exercise explosive strength and balance rather than just body building, but I like a mix of both.

Another thing I've given up on is doing pull ups, my shoulders just make some annoying click when I do them plus I like working on my legs too much which makes them heavy with muscle to lift up.

Ive never taken steroids but I have thought about it but I just wouldn't risk it my friend who I used to work with took them and I don't even think he changed that much after taking them.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Better be careful with your shoulder, paulpablo. Your hand position on pull-ups may be a little too wide, putting excess stress on your shoulders. Try narrowing your grip a bit (about shoulder width or just beyond) and see if it persists. Alternatively, you can do lat pull-downs if you have access to a gym.

I usually stay in the rep range you're describing for hypertrophy work (8~12 reps for 3 sets). I like doing pyramid sets with trap bar deads. I consider them more of a power/raw strength exercise so my rep ranges are much lower. I usually do a rep scheme like 8, 6, 4, 2/1 with those, but that's not set in stone or anything.

I'm more into cardio, and hate going to the weight room. I prefer doing Insanity at home, or going to boot camp classes at the gym.

Different strokes for different folks, as they say! I used to really be into running years ago, but now my cardio consists of really brisk walking and then again on leg day *shudder*. I do know people that have gotten in really great shape with Insanity and P90X though. Something like that would be a tough slog for me.

My thoughts are doing any type of exercise is better than none at all, regardless of what it is. America would be so much better off if everyone could do even a little of any type of physical activity.

I was a runner in high school. Could never do ball sports, except soccer a little bit.

I went to the gym today and got precise results this time on my height and weight.

5' 11.6"  in height or 1.82 m

88.4kg in weight or 13 st 12 lb or 194.8 pounds

according to this thing my BMI is 26.7 which is over my ideal weight which would be 25

I paid 70p just to get this info for you people.
