Today I bought myself a nice new toy.
Context; It replaces my bedside radio,a 4 band (shortwave) Sony AM transistor radio which takes four large batteries. I bought it in Singapore in 1969.
My new toys has:
A clock
AM/FM radio
A CD player
a USB port to play Mp3.
I pod universal dock and connector.
Cost $A66 (about $US60 or 30 pounds sterling).
No big deal? I guess it's relative: I got my first radio for Christmas when I was 8. It had tubes,a brown bakelite case and a natural fibre speaker cover Speaker had a copper coil and large magnet) So,this new toy is a wonder to me.
PS: The speakers are crappy. I use my Ipod head phones.
