So particle behavior is affected by our observations...OK, but is particle behavior affected by our intent? Has anyone even tried to will a particle to behave a certain way while observing it, standing around the supercollider saying, "come on, come on, daddy needs a brand new Corvette" like people do at the roulette wheel?
Any thoughts at all?
I can understand where the idea comes from - namely because in the copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics, the act of "observation" is a special kind of event which lets quantum superpositions and entangled states "collapse" to a single classical reality (think Schrödinger's cat) . By many, "observation" or measurement, has been (wrongly, but not entirely without reason, in my opinion) interpreted as "interaction with a consciousness", and from there it takes only a few glasses of red wine and/or some other adult refreshments to arrive at the conclusion that consciousness creates reality.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
