Does anyone here participate in BOINC?

Does anyone here participate in BOINC?
Just wondering if anybody does.

If you don't know what BOINC is, is a way of helping science by using your free CPU time (which is usually wasted).

More information can be found here

List of projects and their topics: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Project_list
I'm not English. Sorry for my mistakes!

Been a part of it for quite a while now, in the upper 98% or higher. Only have a couple machines working currently but hope to have a couple more soon. At one time I had about 50 machines working.

Ditto, but for the OotS group.

I've been participating in Seti@home since 2004 and using boinc since seti migrated to it.

BOINC is not some sort of deviant practice then!
Disappointed now

I ran it for years when it was still looking for E.T. in the SETI project. I never ran BOINC because BOINC aids fundamental academic research into e.g. protein folding and modeling, which requires ginormous computing power. The results of that research are subsequently sold for relative peanuts by the universities involved to big Pharma, who then turn around and sell it to the public, as medicine, at obscene prices and profit margins.

I don't feel like financing my own exploitation, or their coffers.
