My father grew up with it. I like it, but somehow I am drawn to just plain apple pie. Very all american.

Never cared for flies myself but you're eating on a very green tier in the food chain.
We had an ollaberry pie and a pecan pie along with a persimmon pudding. Actually I ate so much dinner I could scarcely deal with the dessert. Taking a drive tomorrow but Sunday I'll make the turkey soup. I probably like that as much as main meal, and it lasts longer.

Glad to hear you had a great time with your loved ones, GC.
You forgot my pie though, didn't you?
No worries. There's still Christmas!
I thought you didn't like pumpkin pie, so I ate the whole thing.
Yes I'm looking forward to Christmas but probably not for the reasons of most here.

I had some good food, hang out with some family members I only see once or twice a year, and got to play with some babies. Pratty successful Thanksgiving, if you ask me.

My wife and I volunteered at a local soup kitchen from mid-morning until about 2:00. Then we went home, made a scaled down Thanksgiving dinner for two (my wife's sweet potato pie rocks), and ate. I spoke with my kids on the phone while my wife made calls of her own. Then we smoked a joint and chilled out for a while before . . . well, that's none of your business.
Yeah, it was a really good day.

Just finished. Feel like a tick. Alas, my son and I were the only ones to eat the stuffing. Boiling the leftover carcass for turkey soup.

The cheeseburgers were good. My wife did the washing up, and I gave her thanks. I hope that counts.

Like it always goes. We ate just a little too much yesterday and are eating light leftovers today. All very low key and good tasting.
