I was kinda grossed out first viewing the video so,

TLDR; They surgically cut open some animal(Think it's a giraffe), and show that it has a tube for some biological process, that needs to go to a valve or something right next to it, but instead goes the opposite direction, wraps around, twists and turns, only to end up going to that valve that was right next to it.

Yeah, I heard thatgiraffes have this nerve or blood vessel that is far longer than it has any reason to be. People want to say the world must be designed because of how complex it is. That's not a sign of good design. Either we weren't designed, or our creator didn't really know what he was doing

Though I guess in his defense he was kind of a beginner, and this is probably the only project he's ever done because some theists believe the rest of the universe is devoid of life.

Actually the laryngeal nerve is a good example of how you should look deeper; and how assumption of bad design is a poor principle.
This article http://www.evolutionnews.org/2010/10/med...39221.html (note I linked to the last page, as it references all four parts) shows, that there is likely good reason, for the pathway. That it serves multiple functions, causes issues when it takes a shorter pathway in a small percentage of humans. And also how there is a direct nerve pathway to the pharynx as these critics are asking for.

I would be careful with an argument from bad design.  As an Engineer/technician, I have never seen bad design, and concluded that it was not designed at all.  And there may be a function or good reason for what you think is bad design; however you are just not seeing it.   But it's apparent that you didn't read the article I had posted, on the topic which was brought up.
