Here's a video game with some fucking excellent electronic music:

I don't actively listen to a lot of electronic music on my own, but when I go out I sometimes enjoy some music DJ's play in nightclub/danceclubs. I like deep and progressive house the most, and some trance as well.
And no, I don't believe creating music using a computer is an inferior form of production compared to playing "real instruments", it requires a certain degree of skill.

I added all the videos you posted here in a playlist and I'll give them all a listen now and tell you which ones I like. It does And I'm glad you think so because I make electronic music using a computer myself (January 27, 2016 at 7:55 pm)Evie Wrote:I recognize that. It's not playing "real instruments" that makes you a superior musician, it's your talent and your music's quality. I tend to get some degree of shitstorm because I'm a fan of blues, rock and metal but I also enjoy lots of old school hip-hop and have produced amateur mixtapes with a friend, so I get the "hate", some people think everything that is not the typical pop-rock song is inferior. Speaking from personal experience, it takes a lot of skill to write rap lyrics and put them in a beat-sound you randomly picked and have not personally invented, and it takes even more to write lyrics and create the music yourself.(January 27, 2016 at 7:38 pm)Dystopia Wrote: And no, I don't believe creating music using a computer is an inferior form of production compared to playing "real instruments", it requires a certain degree of skill.

Ok so this first Unreal Tournament track, that I already posted above:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR9kvbXt4tk ...is by Andrew "Necros" Sega. Who primarily makes music for video games and computer games, but not only. And this is the studio version of that Orbital track I already posted 3 live versions of, The Girl With the Sun in Her Head: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xc2eNFFvzs And like I said, Andrew "Necros" Sega who did that Unreal Tournament track, doesn't just do video game music... And look what I've found, a remix of that Orbital song, The Girl With the Sun in Her Head, by Andrew "Necros" Sega: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQsXvRpjApM Weird huh? I always find it interesting how my music tastes seem to converge.
Last of all, I've found a remix someone has done that combines one of Orbital's live performances of TGWTSIHH (The Girl With the Sun in Her Head (I'm not the only Orbital fan who abbreviates it this way)): with Andrew "Necros" Sega's remix:
