Here's a thought

Realistically, I know it's probably not possible, but it was a random thought I had and it seems like a good idea.
Wouldn't it be great if we could hide entire threads from view? Just click a button and poof. Gone. Sort of like the option on facebook where you can click a short option list in the upper right corner of each post that shows up in your news feed and one of the options is to hide it from your newsfeed.
I realize this would be a huge undertaking, as we have several options here for viewing threads (today's posts, my posts, directly clicking on each sub-forum etc) so it would probably take a shit-ton of code to write. I know nothing of how these things work.
