The issue EP, is that usually in the common religions, god created the universe, it is not the universe. Pantheists just use god and universe to mean the same thing, with some mysterious wooo!

Well, ok, but what I mean is, how is God not the Universe if he created it? The universe is supposedly his creation, so either he didn't literally create it, but merely helped shape the current universe drawing inspiration and raw material from another, older one, or he created it out of nothing. In the latter case, then, he didn't so much create an universe as expressed himself into being. Please tell me you see what I'm driving at.

What mysterious wooo are you refering to BTW? I always took pantheism to mean simply giving an illegitimate synonym to the word Universe, namely God, in which case they're practically atheists confused about language. Are they doing more than that?
