One thing I don't get. God made the universe. How come theists don't call themselves pantheists, then? Know what I mean?

Pantheism

I believe the universe was created in a vast cooking utensil...I am a fryingpantheist.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis. (December 22, 2015 at 3:24 am)excitedpenguin Wrote: One thing I don't get. God made the universe. Wikipedia Wrote:Pantheism is the belief that the Universe (or nature as the totality of everything) is identical with divinity, or that everything composes an all-encompassing, immanent god. Pantheists thus do not believe in a distinct personal or anthropomorphic god. No, I don't know what you mean. Fuck it, don't even answer. I only want replies from people who understand the point that I'm making anyway.

If theists believe in a God who created the universe but isn't the universe and everything in it they couldn't call themselves pantheists. Where are the snake and mushroom smilies?

I know some claim to be pantheists, but I think replacing old woo with new woo is still bullshit. Our cognition as a species is a blip and there is no giant cognition or as some si fi woors claim, a bunch of QM elf tiny programers that have cognition. All this is just one giant weather pattern, and cognition is simply a temporary outcome, just like a hurricane or tornado don't last forever. Si fi woo is simply another form of superstition.. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense, not even when you realize we're basically arguing about the logic of a fantasy.
I just argued with a pantheist on youtube. I basically accused him of actually being an atheist who was either confused about language(universe=god), too polite/afraid to admit he's an atheist or both. He didn't deny it and we continued our conversation on other topics that were mentioned in a sort of tacit agreement.
So, the universe is like a frittata, in other words.
I concur. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
