So was I - at the time. Not with your GF, he added quickly.

You're welcome to her. I know you're very hard on yourself but you're still way out of her league Big Grin

After a while, wood wears very smooth and polished. Which is convenient.

So it's only hell for the first few days huh? (I'm assuming you do it pretty regularly).

No, only on a date and after we've gone for a meal. What do you take me for, some kind of pervert or something?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You sure as hell aren't taking full grown trees out for dates, which leaves only saplings.

You perverted fucking nursery robber! Stay the hell away from my young, innocent trees, Mister.

Boys, boys! For crying out loud... If we're going to have our annual year's end Atheist "Hail Satan Bi-Orgy and Baby Barbecue", at least invite the Christians so they don't feel left out and start calling us immoral again!
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

What do you mean "invite the Christians"?

Didn't anyone tell you where the babies come from?

Great. Now I'm forever going to crack up laughing whenever someone uses the phrase "where babies come from", and I won't be able to explain why!

I didn't want to respond in kind, so I relied on the ignore function.

But I imagine that might have been unfair to the trolls in the long term.

So I just took everyone off my ignore list.

It's time for #anustart.

Well that at least is a good faith effort, though I question how much it will matter to those not previously on ignore.

At this point, people are going to hate you no matter what you do. I think your only real option is to genuinely change, and don't look for any consideration.
I took one guy off ignore whose post just complained that I never responded to his questions, and now that he asked it again, perhaps THIS TIME I would respond.

Made me giggle. Big Grin

So, I want to hear it from the people that trudged through this thread. Was it a sincere truce?
