teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
Appears as though I will be settling on the Fiend Warlock in BG3.

Was thinking when I get paid at the end of next week, I might spend $150 to get a character race for Neverwinter.

I completed most of my third playthrough of Ori and the Blind Forest faster than expected. I'm at the last level -- Mount Horu -- which involves solving about 6 rooms and then there's the final timed run which I have yet to finish.
I guess it's time to find a new favorite game. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is basically the classic Castlevania redone by the author of the original. It was selling for about $5, but then it jumped up to $8. It's starting to come back down. It's between $5 and $6 today. I've got Yoku's Island and Oddworld: New & Tasty to play in the meantime. And I'm still in the early stages of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. I just left the island where you start and may be facing a sea battle. I'll try to go around it first.
Started playing Oddworld: New & Tasty. It took me two days just to learn how to throw a bomb. And now I'm stuck again.
Recently started replaying Skyrim. It's been a couple years, so I don't remember everything about all the quests, and there are some great new 'New Worlds' and quest mods that I've never played before.
This game has replayability like no other I've ever played, or even heard of, partly because it's simply so well designed, but mostly because you can do so much within the game with mods. From simple reskins of weapons or armour to building entire worlds to explore and quest through. If more games were like this, I'd be more willing to pony up the extortion fees early retail cost instead of waiting for a steam sale a year or more after initial release.
