I suppose so but when it comes to views on life and the universe it's not easy to convince people, but more importantly it's rarely necessary. The way I see it, it's by living that you form your philosophy, as well as by having a philosophical approach and taking the time to ponder. Over time one instinctively decides for themselves what feels right.

I would argue that what 'feels' right is irrelevant, we are fallible creatures, and considering the inevitable mass of contradictory conclusions that 'feel' right to various individuals, It seems to me that if you actually give a damn about the truth you are pretty much required by default to discount feelings - they are intangible, sporadic and when taken into consideration in evaluating potential positions on any non-personal/interpersonal issue almost always bring entirely unfounded assumptions and preconceptions to the table. Not only that, but they tend to lead us to conclusions that we want to be true or ones that we are comfortable in accepting, when in reality our like or dislike of the truth is entirely without weight.

Mental masturbation.

How dare you insult the art of wanking by comparing it to that asinine garbage!

You're right, Void.

At least jerking off accomplishes something.

Hi God head.

Interesting ideas, and not without merit.

Whilst impossible to prove it certainly makes more sense than what the mainstream religions would have us believe.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

Oh yes I agree that feelings and intuition can be inaccurate. But it's like a skill, or using a muscle. If you know how to use it, it can be extremely accurate. If you don't, it isn't. Unfortunately, when it isn't, the side effect is that one gets the wrong impression and assumes that feelings and intuition have no use. I'm not that good at football, but that says more about my level of ability than it does about the game. It may seem to you that I don't care about the truth, but in actual fact to know the truth requires using a balanced combination of "what you see is what you get" & feelings / intuition. Some call that the whole-brain approach, call it what you will. Everything you're describing about feelings is what happens when someone is not in control of them. The trouble is, you're ascribing that to all cases, when in fact that's not the case.
