We use very few electric lights, the missus and I. We prefer to read by the light of burning heretics.

Safe spaces for light bulbs everywhere.
Nowhere is safe for a light bulb. Not. ANYWHERE.

I can't remember the last time I saw an incandescent light bulb!
Of course I have a VCR - what you call a "vhs player" pfft. What self-respecting film & television enthusiast doesn't have a VCR?

Ooooh SUPER LP. Nice piece, bruh.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Are you sure? That sounds a bit counter-intuitive, to me... heat should promote electron mobility, thus leading to less resistivity....
Yes, so the way I understand it (remember it from the lectures a decade ago), more heat means more scattering and hence a shorter mean free path for the electrons. Of course, in semiconductors it goes the other way, probably because more electrons have the necessary energy to contribute to the conduction.

... if you include infrared in your equation, sure. So whatever you do, you get a 100% efficient electric heater

And if you'll notice the Panasonic is Hi-Fi and the AKAI is mono, thus I can listen to both audio tracks on a Hi-Fi VHS (unfortunately, no consumer Hi-Fi VCR has the ability to select the mono track).
