RE: A forum time capsule?
A question for zeh overlords (mods and admins). If I direct people to send me their time capsule messages and then make a time capsule thread in one year, will this be a rule violation?

I was hoping that I could say for people to put "For the time capsule" as the subject of the pm and I could count that as express permission to share their pm in my time capsule thread. Clearly, if anyone later PMs me saying they've changed their mind, I won't post that one.

I can't see how it would violate the rules.

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

If you have express permission to post someone's PM, you can do it. The rule exists to prevent people from disclosing things shared in confidence, IMO.

@Losty, as a CYA save all the PMs for at least two weeks after you post them. We don't action anything more than two weeks old. If someone were to complain, clearing you is a simple matter of an admin verifying in the PM log the PMs existence - so keep 'em.

Hmm....the way it works is people can PM me anytime within the one year. At the end of the year I post them all at once. Can I save PMs for a whole year?

ETA- just checked my inbox and I have messages from 2 years ago. Score.

Next question. Is it possible my inbox could become too full?

I believe so. Check all your folders. I bet you have year old PM's.

Let me check the size limit tomorrow. It's 3am I need sleep. I would expect the limit to be quite high.
