It rocks for technically proficient geeks. Unfortunately I'm merely nerdy.

In my experience windows installs are generally more painful then Linux ones. The only issue I have ever had with Linux installs is poorly supported hard ware.

I've never installed Windows either, all the computers I have ever had have had a copy of Windows pre-installed on them.

I've installed Windows numerous times for friends. It's definitely a bigger pain in the arse than Linux installs.

Yeah, I agree.  I was a strong fan of XP after they got it properly patched up, but Windows 7 really turned it up to "11" for me.

Windows 8 I totally hate, except for one thing-- omg those fast boot times!  My daughter has a pretty good comp with Windows 8, and I have a very good comp with Windows 7, and her boot time is 1/4 mine. The only problem is-- she has to use Windows 8. Tongue

Win10 has definitely settled down for me.
Like 7 but faster boot as mentioned.

Is there an easy way to dual boot win10 and Linux these days.
Someone remind me again why I need Linux? I forgot.
