Quote:first of all the Quran is not a book of science
My point exactly.
Quote:what evidence you want me to give?? i mentioned the verse and the meaning of the words then the scientific fact discovered
I am yet to see you quote anything 'scientific' in the Koran.
saying that the Quran is not a science book doesnt mean that it doesnt contain scientific facts dicovered later.
"We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?" (Quran 41:53)

So where does it actually mention anything scientific?
1-the first verse says that the universe was joined together and then the universe exploded or ripped from each other(big bang)
2-the second verse say that the universe is expanding(universe expanding)
3-the third verse says that the universe will be become together again as a piece of paper rolled(big crunch and universe is flat)
if you think that the verses says something else just give me the reason with an explanation so i can understand your point of view

Quote:Prof. Armstrong was asked a series of questions about how Qur'nic treat your area of expertise. He finally asked: "Have you seen and discovered for himself the true nature of modern astronomy with modern equipment, rockets and satellites developed by man. You also saw how the same facts were mentioned by the Qur'an fourteen centuries ago. What is your opinion? "It's a tough question because I thought our discussion here. I am very impressed by how some of the ancient writings seem to correspond to modern and recent Astronomy. I am not a student of human history sufficient project myself completely and reliably into the circumstances that have prevailed.Certainly 1400 years ago, I let things than, how a telescope works, we have seen is remarkable, may or may not accept a scientific explanation, it is likely to be something beyond what we intend to ordinary human experience to explain the messages that we have seen. "I said, I am very impressed by finding true astronomical facts in Qur'n,, how a telescope works, and for us modern astronomers have studied very small piece of the universe. We have concentrated our efforts include a very small part. Because 'using telescopes, we see very little part of the sky without thinking about the universe. Thus, when reading Qur'ny answer questions, I think I can find my way forward for the universe of investigation. 1) The universe has always been joined together...it's the universe. It didn't explode or rip itself from...itself either.
2) The verse says "the heaven" is expanding, not the universe.
3) There are many theories on what might happen to the universe; the Big Crunch is but one of them, and it doesn't say anything about the universe being flat. The universe is currently thought to be saddle shaped. All this is irrelevant because it hasn't happened yet, so to say the Qur'an has scientific knowledge of these is ridiculous...because it hasn't happened.

For a NASA scientist Prof. Armstrong is remarkably deficient in English.
