You have zero evidence for human empathy? Maybe you are the sociopath! *runs*

Because, from a theist point of view, the deity prohibits it and everybody must obey the deity.

Yeah, I was just trying to say something as stupid as what you're saying.

Nope.

For that matter, I can't see continuing to waste oxygen on a fuckhead like you, either.

I see. Thanks Jehanne.
This is the only self-consistent statement so far from an atheistic point of view.

Any other possible explanations?

By the way, just for the record, the scenario I posted completely appalls me.
But I just wanted to learn more about the evidence that other world views provide to support their case.

I want your opinion on the following scenario.

Lets assume there was a completely disabled human being who needs major help through all daily activities.
This human being is under the following condition:
  • He/she has no job whatsoever
  • He/she has zero friends and zero family members
If you are an atheist, can you give me a reason (other than legal issues) of why this person should not be killed as to free more resources (money, time, hospital space, etc) for the rest of the community?

Bong

With the limited conditions that you posed in this question I see no reason why this person should be killed. None of those conditions warrants death. None of those conditions limits them from contributing to society. My conclusion is that you are either a troll or very, very stupid. More than likely both.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

The scenario I posted completely appalls me, but I just wanted to learn more about the evidence that other world views provide to support their case. Especially the Darwinian-heavy form of atheism.
I'm not your buddy.

Why do you need evidence? Sometimes I wonder how Christians can live with themselves (at least the far right-wingers), but if they're happy, then fine. I can avoid them or engage them as need be.

RE: paralysis
What is a Darwinian-heavy form of atheism, do you have evidence that it's actually a thing, and do you have evidence that the atheists here fit that category if it does exist? Or are you just talking out of your ass?

I apologize if I offended you, not my intention.

Evidence is not needed! Exactly my point!
I was just illustrating that relying only and exclusively on evidence for every mental construct (such as empathy, in this case) is a futile, fatal, nihilistic effort.
Evidence definitely has its place, but so is an innate sense of morality that you can't provide evidence for.

So the conclusion is that: not every mental construct needs evidence.
