Hi, nice to be here.

I get easily bored by stuff that doesn't sound like it has any substance, or seems to assert it's own importance. I guess that's a blessing and a curse in a way, because I feel that being so easily bored with shit that sounds like bullshit, it's made me an extremely skeptical thinker. By consequence, I often suck at doing things which feel unnecessary like school or just cleaning up my own houses. I've had that in me since, idk, 2nd or 3rd grade, the feeling that each year is the same as the last, it often drives me in deeply aching rabbit holes of thought, which often leave me struggling to find the answers to anything and feeling like an utter moron.

So I'd say I'm a bit of a complicated person, I was trying to find a way to describe my mind and I think I succeeded somewhat, in describing myself in neither a self deprecating or conceited way, but something that's just true. My innate "what the fuck is the point" sensibility hasn't made me much more interested in science and history than I'm sure many of the scientifically and historically inclined people on this website are,. but I do think that I am very engaged in science, history, and politics, and I have been trying to get into philosophy a lot more too. I dunno what I necessarily have to gain from philosophy, but it's something that I've been meaning to get into. I've downloaded a lot of philosophy books and I plan on trying to read some of them. I recently started to read the myth of Sisyphus by alber camus, about to the second page.

And I'm not saying I'm into history as in like, I am a history buff or anything, but I used to love the history channel before the recession killed it, and the science channel, I still follow a lot of that stuff, but I mostly pay attention to the extremely painful political environment going on around me today. Scientific and logical things have always sort of comforted me in a way, which I guess is why I would be happy to be surrounded by a bunch of peers who probably feel somewhat the same, if you've all came to the same conclusion about religion. Anyways, I look forward to using this forum, if it's active and I actually decide to spend more than one day here. Why not, I may have something to gain.

Someone mentioned Camus? [emoji6]. Oh, and welcome! Hope you find what you are looking for with us!

What makes them glow?

Ah, nothing much. I was just using the imagery that came to my mind when I came up with the name. I was trying to think of something that sounded beautiful and angelic, but also sort of androgynous and gender neutral in nature. I think panties sort of represent that, because if it's in my name you may assume I like panties, or maybe I'm the one wearing them or on other guys. Phosphorescent is just a nod to a style of art I like, which seems to glow and is very colorful, which leaves the world around you emitting a sort of colorfulness after looking at it for a prolonged period of time. I have a blog where I collect artwork like this, but I won't link it because it has some very graphic sexual stuff. I find sexuality and art to be deeply intertwined, so I add that to my aesthetic a lot. I find the combination of art and sex can work synergistically when appreciating art. I'm demisexual though.

I just happened to think about a pool.

Welcome bruv.

Also, c172, as a tangential thing, what does Tofu even taste of?

If there's any sort of history I am really into it would be music history. Any time I feel interested in a band even if it's a band that I don't really listen to, I'll go watch a documentary about them. I watched one about the drug use of Keith Richards this morning and read a few articles about his drug use. I watched a few interviews and a documentary about Lemmy Kilmister after he died and so on and so forth. It's been a while since I watched a straight up documentary about something like the ones on history channel of something random like the roman empire or something like that.

I did watch a ton of wwII documentaries when I was a child though, also that historically accurate television mini series called band of brothers. I watched that so many times. I sorta wish that I was still interested in history and stuff, but honestly I feel like I'd have to find something that actually feels relevant to me. I'm definitely a big fan of documentaries, if I find something that interests me I usually love watching a documentary about it.

Maybe it'll be good for my eyes, which failed me. I thought "Prepubescent" was part of your handle.  Dodgy
I've heard mixed things about soy stuff. I hear that it's not good for males because it causes hormonal imbalances. I'm not sure about the validity of that, I do enjoy edamame beans a lot though, which I guess is a type of soy bean.

I would be more than happy to incorporate soy products into my diet, I  know there's a few that are supposed to be really good which I can't think of off the top of my head at the moment. I used to drink soy milk but now I drink almond milk.

That's fair enough Tongue
I'm a total history and science nerd, so anything really is my thing!

I still watch a lot of WW2 documentaries. BoB was about the 101st airborne, wasn't it? Never watched it, but heard of it.
And, mentioning music, being the aforementioned total history nerd, i listen to Sabaton, a swedish metal band that focuses on history Tongue (Yes, that is an unusual choice in music. xD )

Hmm, I've heard that name before but I haven't really listened to them. I am definitely very into music, I collect CDs vinyl and cassette, I'm always checking bandcamp and checking the database of my local record store chain for records that I want to own. Most of the stuff I like is pretty rare and obscure, I'm definitely someone who takes researching music very serious. I could go on about the genres I listen to but I don't know where to begin, and I wouldn't want to just name one thing I listen to and become known as the person who listen to that one thing.

Ah, fair enough! Smile
I'm not so much into music, I just play a lot of a game called War Thunder. WW2 Tank-y Plane-y MMO. Sabaton's just really good to listen to when playing it, because they have a lot of WW2 related songs, and it's kinda cool to be driving into the Battle of Kursk and have their song specifically about the Battle of Kursk come on Tongue

RE: Hi, nice to be here.
Welcome. I like gender neutral. I like panties. I'll make sure not to tell the queen/king of bacon (whom I know personally) that you hate her/him.

I'll even share my  Bong if you provide evidence that they glow. Again, welcome.
