My immediate thought was FO4, and while it was a disappointment for me I personally wouldn't say it's overrated. It's rated about right. Most reviews I've seen give it a 9 or 8.5. That's about how I'd rate it.
It's weird, I'm disappointed mostly because it doesnt' seem as good as the ones that have came before it. Even if you judge by what Bethesda have released in other series like Elder Scrolls. They've added some good things, but taken a lot away in some respects too.
Compared to New Vegas and FO3 I really think it has at most half of the content these two games have. New Vegas especially had far more interesting and inventive quests and characters. FO4 is pretty bland character wise as well, and what has made it the biggest disappointment is the new dialogue system. I absolutely love the fact they voiced the characters. The female voice at least I find to be great. My character is one of my most favourite I've ever made in a video game, in large part due to the voice. I loathe however how much they've shallowed the actual dialogue system. It's essentially "Yes, No, More info" or "More info, Super Nice, Super Sarcastic, Super Dickhead", or even more simplified versions of these options. There's no nuance or depth with it, and frustratingly a lot of the time I pick one of the 4 options and my character says something I didn't want them to say, or wouldn't expect them to. And that's because you can't even fully see what your character
will actually say. That's a massive step backwards.
Having said all that though I do think it's still a great game, and funnily enough it's what I've spent the most time on with my PS4, even though I also own the Witcher 3 which I rate about as perfect as a game can get.
Anyway, the only game I can think of at the minute that's massively overrated in my opinion is dishonored. Don't understand the hype with that game at all.
