See above.

If I may ask though, what do you mean by "transitioning?" Does this mean you don't think ALL transgender folks should use the opposite bathrooms and lockerrooms as their physical sex? Only the ones in a certain level of the transitioning process?

By transitioning, I mean one who is going through the physical change via hormones.

As I have explained, I think the comfort level of the majority trumps the comfort level of the minority. There are a lot more women than there are physical men who identify as women but have not had sex change. Nonetheless, a 3rd bathroom is what I believe the solution should be, so these people don't have to feel uncomfortable either.

A. therefore the chances of the majority encountering a "uncomfortable" situation is small.
B. the minority will then always be uncomfortable.

I don't think your math works.

Even if it did, was it right that some whites felt uncomfortable with blacks around so therefore all blacks had to have their own hotel, diner, water-fountain, and yes bathrooms?

Your being discriminatory and your not even seeing it!

Ok. So your stance is that a man who identifies as a woman but has not yet started physically changing via hormones cannot use the ladies room?

You're absolutely right. I am discriminating physical men (regardless of gender identity) from using women's bathrooms and lockerrooms. And I have 0 problem with that.

Ok. And mine is until physical change via surgery. Doesn't sound like you and I are too far off.

That is why we both agree there must be a an alternative restroom, non gender specific, which most public places do have now.

However, I must ask, you do agree that it would be absolutely silly to ask a man transitioning into a woman to use the men's restroom. If women do not want her in their restroom, and men don't want her in their restroom, you do understand where this is going, correct?

Also, a man transitioning into a woman having to use the men's room is quite possibly more uncomfortable than you could ever feel having her in your restroom.
