I do not consider Soccer a sport. It is a game. and it is a professional game played by athletes, but it is not a sport.
Football, americanskii, is a sport, but it isn't a game. likewise played by athletes.

cricket and baseball do not qualify, despite the involvement of regulations, athletes and a field.

I know what cricket is like and if baseball is the same, then it is simply hours of boredom, which could be used instead for doing some DIY, they are that boring. The definition of "sport" and "game" here seem to be pulled out of someone's ass. Let's investigate common definitions online.

The way I see it based on the common definitions there is that an activity can be both a game and a sport at the same time. A sport is just a more specific form of a game that involves physical exertion.
I reject the claim that football (soccer) is not a sport just based on that. You're certainly full of something, but I'm not sure what it is yet.
