Men wear Hijab in Iran in support of womem
Huffington Post reports:

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_579a56...e15eb4f9b0

Quote:Men in Iran are snapping selfies in hijabs to protest the compulsory veiling law that requires all women in the country to wear them.

...

Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad launched the social media campaign #MenInHijab to encourage men to play a role in supporting women’s rights and advocating for change by posting photos of themselves with a headscarf.

But apparently:

Quote:“People outside of Iran have reacted [to the campaign] by saying ‘you’re ruining the face of Islam’ or ‘Islam doesn’t actually force anyone to wear a hijab.’ We have to educate them. In Iran, it’s compulsory. In some other countries [wearing a hijab is] just a cultural norm,” she said.

“There are people who say ‘this is a cultural issue, we shouldn’t get involved,’” she added. “No! This is a human rights issue. We have to talk about it. We must not be silent.”

So it sounds like those ignorant Wahabi-Salafis in the West are butthurt that their narrative of Hijabs are great and are never forced upon anybody is being compromised.

I think Arab women and men should simply skip advocating it's use in any case. No different than the movement in the west by females standing up for their right to dress the way they see fit without anyone telling the individual female what to do. I do get tired of people focusing on just the east. It is true they have a bigger problem with female rights, but they still didn't invent religiously based sexism or gender role clothing.

You don't have to have a written law to have social pressure dictate behaviors. There is no law forcing people in the west to attend church either, but in tons of locations to not do so is to risk being a social outcast regardless of what the law says.

Christianity (Bible) has a prohibition against wearing clothing of the wrong gender, I guess I am STUNNED the Koran misses an opportunity to yet again fuck with people in this instance.

Still, the lack of supporting Koranic passages apparently never stopped determined imams from getting done what they think needs to get done. IOWs, if this protest gets any traction at all, expect some head loping.

Wonder if they'll take the scarf off first ??
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Are you serious right now? How is this about the West? What the fuck?

Human instinct should not be fought.
Hijab was, and always will be a dress to ease up men's abilities to control their natural instinct.

The problem was always in the hormones that our bodies produce at the sight of certain places in female body. What is opressing in asking women to hold responssibility for their bodies, and help their fellow men in society, in fighting what the hormones do to them?

The only people who get special treatment are the weak, the handicapped and children. Women deserve no special treatment; different but not special.
Instead, Islam treats women for who they are (grown up humans with responsibility), and deals with them in a way only grown ups would receive: ordering them to step up and take responsibility because -obviously other parts in the society -men- get high on their bodies.

Yes; men get high on women. Look at porn addiction stats.
No; what feminists are doing is that they are treating women as if they were some children who are having a wicked tantrum.

Understand that the more you undress, the more you make men's bodies to produce more drugs, making the male body so high and unfocused, and to get over the effect, some very evil men rape, good men jerk the shit out of their cocks and turn to porn instead; others turn gay.

It's becoming old. Nothing is more humiliating than treating an adult like a child.
And that's what feminism is all about.

As for opressing women in the East, it has nothing to do with Hijab and everything to do with the Bedwin societies that lock women inside tents. You can track their bedwin nasty habits over thousands of years.
